Build China Curiosity in the Classroom

Our partner Engage with China  has been awarded a small charitable grant to once again deliver five of their signature China Challenge Days into primary schools, particularly in those which service areas of social and economic deprivation or other type of SEN.  Your students could join the 6000 who have already benefitted.  We would be delighted if schools in Bristol could benefit from this and hope you will wish to apply.  Any school interested should contact me on hjcolston@engagewithchina.org and/or complete the form via the QR code on the flier attached. Time is of the essence and there are only five schools that can benefit.

Engage with China aims to build curiosity about China in UK schools and to create a generational pipeline of young people whose eyes and minds are opened to the impact of China on the world - both in millennia past - and now. Whatever one’s views on China, it is not going away and it is too big to ignore. I know that The China Bureau is fully aligned with this way of thinking.

China Challenge Days involve 5 hours of face-face interactive teaching and we work round a school's timetable. For larger cohorts, two of us deliver the day and can work with a whole year group (up to 100) in a large hall or in classrooms teaching 30 pupils each at a time. Obviously there are benefits to both options and you can decide which suits the profile of your pupils best.  All options are suitable for KS2 and KS3 and include a module on mandarin learning and Chinese calligraphy.
