Visit West Launches Rednote Account to Connect with Chinese Audiences
Visit West has officially launched its presence on Rednote (Xiaohongshu), one of China’s most influential lifestyle and travel social media platforms, to promote Bristol, Bath and the wider West of England to Chinese audiences both in the UK and in China.
The account shares travel inspiration, local experiences, cultural highlights, filming locations, food recommendations and seasonal events in Chinese. Recent posts have featured Bristol Light Festival, Upfest, local food and drink highlights, Bridgerton and Skins filming locations in Bath and Bristol, as well as seasonal travel ideas across the area, helping introduce the character and creativity of the region to new audiences.
Since launching earlier this year, the account has seen encouraging engagement, with several posts performing particularly well and generating strong interaction through likes, comments and saves. The platform offers an exciting opportunity to connect directly with younger Chinese travellers and students, who increasingly use Rednote as a key source of travel inspiration and recommendations.
Visit West is keen to work with local partners and businesses interested in connecting with Chinese audiences through Rednote and Chinese social media platforms. For more information, please contact membership@visitwest.co.uk.
