British/Chinese Cooking Competition to Celebrate 20th Anniversary
Guidelines
- The competition is open to residents in the West of England (Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire). 
- Entrants must be aged 18 and over at the time of entry. 
- Entrants to produce a new unique recipe/dish, which must combine British and Chinese ingredient(s). 
- The recipe/dish must be the original work of the entrant. 
- Competition entries to be submitted via the online entry form. 
- Commences 21/09/2021 (Mid-Autumn festival) and entries must be received by 30/11/2021. 
- Online entries will be judged on the basis of following criteria; 
Appearance: Does it present great on plate and make you want to eat it? 30%
Creativity: Is it reflective of the ingredients and show a personal touch? 30%
Cultural tie: Does it provide the cultural link and/or concept? 30%
Wow Factor: At Judges discretion – Is there an “x” factor to it? 10%
- The judges will shortlist 3 Finalists to prepare, cook and serve their recipe/dish for a panel of judges at a venue/date TBD to select an overall Winner. 
- All decisions of the 3 judges are final. 
The prizes are;
Each of 3 Finalists (online entrants): (Money £200 / Food Hamper / 6 bottles of treaty port wine)
Overall Winner: (Full Day at cooking class at School of Wok / Food hamper / champagne)
The winning dish/recipe will be showcased on the menu at a China Bureau event with a donation made to charity for every dish served.
Standard Terms and Conditions
- The China Bureau reserves the right to use the names, images and video of the entrants for marketing and publicity purposes. 
- The China Bureau reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the competition at any time, for the reason, without notice.
