UWE Professor advises China on Air Quality

Professor Martin Bigg recently visited ChinaI as a member of a small team of academics and environmental leaders organised by the Royal Academy of Engineering and led by John Loughhead, Chief Scientific Advisor to the Department of Energy and Climate Change. The team were invited by the Consultative Committee to the State Council to advise on air quality matters, and the drafting of Chinese air quality legislation. They presented at a national symposium on Air Quality hosted by the State Council in Beijing and undertook field visits to local facilities including their impressive environmental monitoring centre.
